Privacy Policy

This policy describes the website at www.peopleblockchain.network (the "site"), operated by the People Blockchain project operators ("we", "us"). It applies when you visit public pages, use the in-browser wallet, explore the test network, or sign in to the partner portal.

This policy does not replace the public nature of blockchain data. On-chain activity on the People's Blockchain test network is visible to anyone and cannot be made private after it is confirmed.

Partner sign-in with Google: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google OAuth shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create or identify your account.

Partner sign-in with email: if you request a magic link, we collect the email address you type, send a one-time sign-in link through Resend, and store verification tokens needed to complete sign-in.

Account and partner records in our database (hosted on Neon Postgres): your user id, linked OAuth account fields (provider, provider account id, and tokens returned by the provider where applicable), session records, email verification timestamps, partner referral code, who referred you (if recorded at registration), wallet public address and public key after you bind a wallet, and timestamps such as when the partner profile was created or the wallet was bound.

Referral attribution: if you arrive with a referral link or code, we may store a referral cookie (people_partner_ref) for up to 30 days so we can attach you to the inviting partner when you first sign in, using a first-wins rule.

Server logs and security data: like most websites, our host (Vercel) may process connection metadata needed to deliver pages and protect the service. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts on this site in the application code.

Non-custodial wallets: wallet keys are created and encrypted in your browser. Encrypted private keys and optional mnemonics are saved in localStorage under the key ppl-web-wallets. Language (ovn_lang) and colour theme (ovn_theme) preferences are also stored in localStorage.

We never receive your wallet private keys, seed phrases, or wallet encryption password. Only public addresses and public keys are sent to our servers when you choose to bind a wallet to your partner profile.

Sign-in session: when you use the partner portal, Auth.js / NextAuth sets cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in (for example session and CSRF-related cookies). These are used for authentication and security, not for advertising.

Referral cookie: people_partner_ref remembers an invite code for up to 30 days when you have not already been attributed.

We do not use phone numbers or SMS for authentication on this site.

We use the data above to operate the site, authenticate partners, send magic-link emails you request, display your partner cabinet, attribute referrals at registration, verify wallet ownership when you bind an address, and read public test-network data for balances you choose to view.

We do not sell your personal information.

People's Blockchain is offered as a public test network (beta). Transactions, addresses, and balances on the chain are public and permanent once included. Test PPL has no monetary value and is not a promise of future value or income.

Deleting your website account does not remove or change on-chain history.

We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Google (optional OAuth sign-in), and Resend (transactional email for magic links). They handle data according to their own terms and our instructions for operating the site.

We keep partner and account data while your account exists or as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Magic-link and verification tokens expire automatically. Referral cookies expire after 30 days unless cleared earlier.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.

You can ask us for a copy of the account data we store or ask us to correct inaccurate profile information by emailing privacy@peopleblockchain.network.

You can ask us to delete your account. When we delete your user record from our database, related rows (account links, sessions, verification tokens, and partner profile) are removed through database cascade rules. We cannot delete public blockchain data tied to your wallet addresses.

You can clear browser localStorage at any time to remove wallets and preferences stored on your device. That does not delete server-side account data.

The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
